北京園博園（Beijing Garden Expo）是第九屆中國國際園林博覽會(huì)的舉辦地，位于北京市豐臺(tái)區(qū)永定河西岸，展區(qū)占地267公頃，園博湖占地246公頃，總占地513公頃，是一個(gè)集園林藝術(shù)、文化景觀、生態(tài)休閑、科普教育于一體的大型城市公園，是國家AAAA級(jí)旅游景區(qū)，有傳統(tǒng)展園、現(xiàn)代展園、創(chuàng)意展園、國際展園和濕地展園等五類共69個(gè)展園。為了讓MEM&IMEM學(xué)生體驗(yàn)園林文化，陶冶藝術(shù)情操。MEM中心擬于5月16日組織MEM&IMEM學(xué)生參觀北京園博園。

參加人員

MEM&IMEM學(xué)生及校友，如報(bào)名人數(shù)超過名額上限，將通過搖號(hào)決定參加活動(dòng)的人選。

活動(dòng)安排

本次活動(dòng)采取定向越野打卡的形式，以調(diào)動(dòng)大家的好奇心和必勝心，考查每組隊(duì)員的團(tuán)隊(duì)合作能力。參加活動(dòng)人員分為4-5個(gè)小組，定向越野打卡活動(dòng)以小組為單位進(jìn)行，全員共同參與,到達(dá)任務(wù)點(diǎn)后按照各任務(wù)點(diǎn)的不同要求完成打卡任務(wù)，然后前往下一個(gè)任務(wù)點(diǎn)，依次類推完成所有任務(wù)點(diǎn)任務(wù)。具體安排如下：

費(fèi)用

門票和保險(xiǎn)：MEM中心統(tǒng)一為參加活動(dòng)的同學(xué)/校友購買；

午餐：可在園博園內(nèi)用餐，也可以自備食品。MEM中心將為參加活動(dòng)的同學(xué)/校友提供不超過50元/人的午餐補(bǔ)助，需要提供購買相應(yīng)金額的食品發(fā)票或在園博園內(nèi)用餐的餐費(fèi)發(fā)票。

跨文化勝任力活動(dòng)簡介及往期活動(dòng)回顧

跨文化勝任力是指個(gè)體與異文化背景的人們交流應(yīng)具備的綜合能力。在全球化的大趨勢(shì)下，跨文化勝任力也是區(qū)分區(qū)域性人才和國際化人才的主要標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。自2019年5月，MEM中心開始定期組織各種跨文化交流和實(shí)踐活動(dòng)，從而拓寬學(xué)生的國際化視野，提升他們的跨文化勝任力，至今已舉辦各類活動(dòng)共8次。

Beijing Garden Expo is the venue for the 9thChina International Garden Expo. It is located on the west bank of Yongding River in Fengtai District, Beijing. The exhibitions cover an area of 267 hectares and Yuanbo Lake takes up 246 hectares, with total area of 513 hectares.It is a large-scale urban park integrating garden art, cultural landscape, ecological leisure, and popular science education. It’s a national 4A-level tourist attraction site with 69 exhibition parks having five themes: traditional exhibition parks, modern exhibition parks, creative exhibition parks, international exhibition parks and wetland exhibition parks. In order to give MEM&IMEM students an experience of garden culture and cultivate their artistic taste, MEM center will organize a trip to Beijing Garden Expo on May 16th.

Participants

MEM&IMEM students and alumni. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, then we may draw lots to determine those who will participate in the event.

Activity Plan

This activity will take the form of cross-country orienteering with check-ins, which will help raise everyone's spirit of curiosity and victory, and test the teamwork ability of each team member. Participants are divided into several groups, and the orienteering cross-country check-in activities are carried out in groups, with all members participating together. After reaching the check points, the check-in task should be completed according to the different requirements of that check point, and then that of the next check point, and so on till all task are completed. The specific arrangements are as follows:

Cost

a.Tickets and Insurance: MEM Center will purchase tickets for the students/alumni who participate in this event;

b.Lunch: You can have lunch at the Garden Expo Park, or bring your own food. MEM Centre will provide a lunch subsidy of no more than RMB 50 per person to students/alumni who participate in the event. You need to provide the invoice of food purchase or the invoice of meal cost in the garden.

Brief introduction of Cross-cultural Competence Activities and review of previous activities

Cross-cultural Competence refers to the comprehensive ability that individuals should have to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds. Under the trend of globalization, cross-cultural competence is also the main criterion to distinguish regional talents from international talents. Since May 2019, MEM Centre has regularly organized various cross-cultural communications and practical activities, so as to broaden students' international vision and improve their cross-cultural competence. So far, eight activities have been held.
